Especially since I'm not the type to pick up on such sharp details. And make sure to use fresh save states.īug reports are good. Approaching Eternal-type update periods (note that Eternal uses ADSR float math (?), which is curiously interesting to me).īrain Dead 13 can stay 'broken' (bad sound) for awhile - that's a hard one to figure out. It should come off slightly sharply cleaner if you have high-quality speakers / headphones. Not much more though.Īs a bonus, I've lowered the 1ms -> 0.5ms update times. Noise waveforms (don't use white noise) = Looping the FF7 cursor menu works better (more like Eternal now) All help greatly appreciated.Voice on/off detection - immediately within same apu cycle Hope someone knows some solution to this problem of mine as I really enjoy the game and I'd love to enjoy it without those annoying slowdowns. My pc is a AMD A-5800k 8GB DDR3-2133Mhz and a Radeon 7770 HD 1024MB. I set all the settings off/lowest and all on/max also tried some combinations in between and its always the same with FPS limit on it lags in certain areas while without it its always max FPS which is 200 i guess? Read somehwere that audio plugins might cause slowdowns too so tried direct sound 1.0 and 1.9 but no change. ![]() So far I tried : Soft Driver 1.17, OpenGL Driver 1.78, Pete's OpenGL Driver 2.9 and Gsdx 1.14 in every instances its the same. Whats interesting is that the built in FPS counter doesnt even register the slowdowns but they are VERY noticable its atleast a drop to 30 fps or maybe even lower. Without it I can run the game at 200 fps with maximizing every image enhancing setting there is but the moment I turn FPS limit on i get terrible slowdowns in those areas. FPS Limit ruins the fps in heavy 3d areas like towns or forests. No matter what I do or what graphic or even sound plugin i use its always the same. I've got quite the annoying problem while playing BoF4. Any suggestions on where to start looking? I don't know what the configuration issue could be, nothing in the system has changed, and there's no other audio issues. I've unchecked it, and it still doesn't work. ![]() Other than that issue could be some configuration or windows issue.Ĭomments: ** Comment from web user: onderdonk1 ** If anyone has any suggestions or needs more info, please let me know.Ĭomments: ** Comment from web user: ckain **ĭo not use "SPU IRQ Always enabled hack" since it is only needed when does not work otherwise. I made no changes to the computer except and automatic windows update. I have sound through web browser and VLC media. I have audio on my system otherwise, no other issues. In the audio developer debug mode, it shows no channels muted, with audio output coming out on channels 13 and 14. I've been running PCSXR for a few days beautifully with no issue, then suddenly today I have no audio on any of my games or the BIOS when I run it. Running Windows 7, plenty of RAM, no issues with the system.
